These terms govern your use of SplitEasy ("we", "us", "the app"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
SplitEasy scans receipts, calculates how to split a bill among people, and saves your bill history and drafts to your account. It's provided as-is, for personal, non-commercial use.
You need to sign in with Apple or Google to use the app — this is what your bill history and drafts are attached to. You're responsible for keeping that sign-in secure. You must be at least 13 years old to use SplitEasy.
You keep ownership of the receipt photos and bill data you create. You're responsible for what you scan and share — don't upload anything you don't have the right to. Splits and totals are calculated automatically (including by an AI model reading your receipts) and may occasionally be wrong; always double-check totals before collecting or sending money based on them. SplitEasy doesn't process payments itself — Venmo/Zelle handles are only displayed to whoever you share the bill with.
By signing in and using SplitEasy, you agree that we may collect anonymized, aggregated usage data (such as which features are used and how often) and use it for analytical purposes to understand and improve the app. This also covers the receipts you scan: the item, price, tax, and tip data extracted from your receipts may be used, in anonymized form with personal and account identifiers removed, to analyze and improve scanning accuracy. This is separate from the account and bill data described in our Privacy Policy, which explains in full what's collected and how it's handled — please read it alongside these terms.
Don't use SplitEasy to abuse, scrape, or overload our servers, attempt to access another user's data, or use the app for anything illegal.
SplitEasy is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that receipt scanning will always be accurate.
To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including disputes over bill splits or amounts collected based on the app's output.
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time (see the account menu, or email us). We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are violated.
If these terms change, we'll update the date above. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
